Real estate investor Grant Cardone appeared on Fox Business Network this week after Trump’s ruling and said the ruling will have far-reaching implications for the city’s economy.

He suggested that no one, including himself, wants to do business in New York City anymore because he no longer trusts the city’s political and legal systems.

Cardone said people who invested in his company would not allow him to do business there.

at Fox Business:

“If they can do this to a former president, Donald Trump, regardless of what they think about politics, if they can do this to a former president, what can they do to Grant Cardone? What can you do for other entrepreneurs?” the Cardone Capital founder told “Varney & Co.” on Friday.

Cardone recently warned that Trump’s legal troubles, including pulling his business out of the Empire State and imposing a $355 million fine in a New York civil fraud case in February, would “result in financial chaos” for the city.

“Cardone Capital has 15,000 investors. We raised $1.3 billion. “If I went to that company today and said, ‘I want to invest in New York City,’ they wouldn’t give me the money to do that,” the investor argued.

“It is one of the greatest cities on earth. And no one wants to go there and do business,” Cardone continued. “I blame the legal system. “Clearly the political system has been weaponized,” he said.

New York City is already struggling under the weight of crime, lost revenue due to people leaving, and the border crisis.

Now they will handle fewer investments from people like Cardone.

This situation will have a long-lasting impact on NYC in ways we have yet to see.
