Real Madrid 2-0 Betis: Embape’s double seals home win ⚽

Real Madrid head into the international break with a decisive 2-0 win over Real Betis thanks to Kylian Mbappe scoring his first La Liga goal for Los Blancos. But it hasn’t been all smooth sailing. With two wins and two draws, Madrid remain unbeaten this season but four points behind Barcelona. The pressure is on and the Santiago Bernabeu crowd can feel it.

The first half was tense, with the team struggling to find their rhythm. Vinicius Junior almost broke the deadlock, but his shot just shook the post. Frustration grew among the fans as chances were lost. Then Embappe stepped up.

Just when the game looked headed for another stalemate, Mbappe latched onto Federico Valverde’s clever flick and calmly slotted the ball into the net. The tension was immediately relieved. As the crowd rose to their feet, the French star calmly took the penalty to seal the win and put the game beyond Betis.

Now, with this important win under their belt, Madrid will take a breather during the international break. A triumphant Mbappe will join the France national team before returning to action against Real Sociedad on September 14.
