Rohit Sharma wins International Cricketer of the Year award, Kohli, Shami, Dravid Shine: Full list of winners

It was a remarkable evening for Indian cricket with several prestigious awards being handed out.

Men’s International Cricketer of the Year: Rohit Sharma was the star of the night for his outstanding performances in all formats. In 2023, he scored 1,800 international runs, 1,255 of them in ODIs, at an average of 52.59. His contribution in the World Cup was particularly significant, with 597 runs making him the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament.

Best ODI batsman of the year: Virat Kohli has been recognised for his consistency in ODIs. He amassed 1,377 runs including six centuries and eight fifties in 2023. His dominance was evident in the ODI World Cup, where he finished as the highest run-scorer with 765 runs at an average of 95.62, equalling Sachin Tendulkar’s record for the most centuries in ODI cricket.

Lifetime Achievement Award: Former India coach Rahul Dravid was honoured for his immense contribution to Indian cricket. His leadership in leading India to victory in the T20 World Cup in Barbados and his overall legacy in the sport were celebrated with a standing ovation.

Best ODI Bowler of the Year: Mohammed Shami received the award for his outstanding performance in the 2023 ODI World Cup. His bowling played a vital role in India’s success in the tournament.
