The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced today that it had captured an Israeli reconnaissance aircraft on Saturday while it was conducting an intelligence mission east of Khan Yunis.

“We have seized a Zionist drone of the ‘Evo Max’ type that was performing an intelligence mission over eastern Khan Yunis,” the “Saraya al-Quds” group said in a statement on its Telegram channel.

Al-Saraya also said its fighters were able to “target enemy forces and vehicles that had infiltrated near the Al-Alam roundabout, east of Khan Yunis, with mortar fire.”

Israeli forces intensified land, sea and air strikes on various areas of the Gaza Strip, with airstrikes concentrated on Camp Nusseirat and Khan Yunis, destroying homes and residential areas.

Israeli aircraft bombed the Khadija school, which houses thousands of migrants west of Deir al-Balah, killing at least 30 Palestinians, including children and women, and seriously wounding dozens more, according to Palestinian reports.

Israeli aircraft carried out heavy air strikes targeting the village of Al-Karara. They also targeted a house in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, while Israeli artillery shelled the eastern side of the Al-Bureij camp in central Gaza, killing dozens and wounding hundreds.

This comes as the Israeli military announced that it had recovered the bodies of five detainees, including soldiers, from the Gaza Strip. One soldier was also killed and two others were seriously injured, and it is suspected that they inhaled poison gas from an electric motor while sleeping in a building in southern Gaza.
