Jim has worked in the financial services industry for over 25 years and joined Argus in 1993. He is Argus’ Head of Research and a member of its Investment Policy Committee. Jim has played a key role in building Argus’ proprietary valuation model, which is a key part of the proprietary Argus 6-point valuation system. He also oversees Argus’ technical analysis products. Writes portfolio selection reports and other publications. Manages multiple Argus model portfolios. As a senior analyst, Jim covers communications equipment, semiconductor, information processing, and electronic manufacturing services companies. He holds the CFA designation and is a three-time winner of The Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” All-Star Analyst Survey. In July 2010, McGraw-Hill Professional published Jim’s book, “Asset Valuation for Analysts and Investors.” This one-volume look at the financial modeling and valuation process introduces Argus’ proprietary valuation methodology known as Peer Derived Value.
