“I think the simulator has the best balance this year because of the track layout. Hopefully we won’t feel as much of the limitations we have now, and we’ll be able to feel confident to really attack the whole circuit.

“It’s the only way to get a lap time here. You need to have the confidence to throw the car into the wall and hit the brakes. If we can get it, I really hope… This looks like our best chance on paper over the next two weekends. [with Singapore to follow] They have to be good things.”
Red Bull are eight points ahead of McLaren in the constructors’ standings with eight rounds remaining, while Max Verstappen is 62 points ahead of Lando Norris in the drivers’ race.
