LEEDS, UK (CelebrityAccess) — Leeds Festival was forced to close several stages on Friday after strong winds from Storm Lillian caused damage to the festival site.

A storm brought strong winds and rain to parts of the UK on Friday morning, rendering some of the festival’s more than 10 stages unusable.

In a statement posted to social media, festival organisers said: “This morning has been a challenging one, but we plan to clear the stadium between 1:45pm and 2pm and move into the main stage at 3:10pm with live act Bru-C performing.”

The Chevron, BBC, Radio 1 & Aux stages will remain closed until further notice today, with the BBC Introducing stage returning to normal from approximately 3pm. Further details regarding the Festival Republic stage will be announced at a later date,” the statement added.

It is unclear whether artists Beabadoobee, Ashnikko, and Artemas, whose shows were canceled due to weather, will reschedule their performances.

Leeds 2024 will take place from August 23-25 and will feature Blink-182, Lana Del Rey, Fontaines DC, Raye and The Prodigy.
