Yes, Shania broke up with legendary music producer Mutt Lange after she caught him cheating on her with her best friend, Marie-Anne Thiébaud.
Bur Shania had the last laugh because she is now married to Marie-Anne’s ex-husband Frederic Thiébaud.
Shania spoke about her divorce in a recent episode. “Great company with Jamie Laing” Podcast.
“Forgiveness lies in the family of letting go. But to me, forgiveness is not necessarily forgetting,” she said.
“It’s about understanding the other person, and that might mean they’re wrong. Maybe you’ll forever believe that everything they did was wrong.” Shania went on to add:
“Do I hate my ex-husband for making a mistake? no. That person’s mistake. “It wasn’t my mistake.”
Shania Twain says she’s moved on from her painful first marriage.
“It’s so sad that he made a huge mistake that he has to live with. “I don’t know what it is… but it’s not my weight,” she continued.
“My father is a better example. He is someone I completely forgive.”
Shania has previously spoken about the abuse she suffered as a child and her long journey to forgive her stepfather.
In a previous interview “Armchair expert” On the podcast, Shania said that when they both found out their spouses had cheated, her now-husband handled the news much better than she did.
“He was very thoughtful about everything. “He wasn’t cool about it, but he was smarter about it,” she said.
“I felt uncontrollably vulnerable, something I had never felt before because I thought I was stable once,” Shania added.
“I really believe it is safe. So that was more of a shock than any instability I’ve ever felt,” Twain added at the time.
Fortunately, Shania found a happy ending and she and Frederic are still going strong.
