Biles, 27, who just returned from the 2024 Paris Olympics, arrived at Soldier Field in Chicago on Saturday, Aug. 17, to cheer on Owens, 29, and the Bears as they take on the Cincinnati Bengals.
Biles shared a photo of her game-day outfit on her Instagram Story, which consisted of an oversized jacket with a black-and-white image of Owens wearing the No. 34 jersey he wore while playing for the Green Bay Packers. Owens played for the Packers in 2023 and signed a two-year contract with their longtime NFL rivals the Bears in March 2024.
The Olympian completed her look with a black bodysuit, a black Prada bucket hat, and black and white Nike sneakers. In a Boomerang shared via Instagram Stories, Biles wore a black ankle boot on her left foot, due to a calf injury she suffered at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Biles sprained her calf while attempting a triple-double on the floor exercise warm-up ahead of the gymnastics all-around preliminaries on July 28. Laurie HernandezBiles, an Olympic commentator and member of Team USA, said she had a “weird landing” while practicing the stunt. Biles performed her floor routine with tape on her calves and won a silver medal in women’s floor artistic gymnastics. (Biles won a total of four medals at the Paris Olympics: one silver and three gold.)
“It’s just a precaution, because we still [a] “After the tour, I have to recover and do all that. So, I’m just a little sore,” Biles said of the medical boot in an interview with NBC. Mike Tirico On August 5, she also added that her calves felt “good.”
“I think elite athletes are pretty strong, so we’re prepared for anything, whether it’s pain or pleasure,” Biles told Tirico, 57, as she watched the crash footage. “So what you’re seeing here is that I tried to over-rotate for good measure, and I did that and almost fell. [coach Laurent Landi] Go out. But it was good.”
Owens raved about his “warrior” wife during a Chicago Bears press conference in Chicago on Aug. 6. Before training camp, Owens was in Paris to cheer her on while the Bills competed for Team USA.
“Of course, the first day she had her calf injury and her ability to go through it and still come out on top was amazing to watch,” he said. “Her resilience and when she decided to come back, she accomplished everything she set her mind to. Just being able to witness the training you go through every day.”
