Dallas Cowboys plans to use franchise tags in defense tackle Odighizuwa if they do not reach long -term trade on Tuesday, and sources told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano on Sunday.
The franchise tag for defense tackle is expected to be $ 25.1 million.
If Cowboy tags ODIGHIZUWA, he has chosen a franchise tag for the past eight years. The last two players were tags with tags that overturned Tony Pollard (2023) and TIGHT END DALTON SCHULTZ (2022), and did not sign a long -term extension and left for free agencies next year. The cowboy was able to sign Dak Presott (2020-21) and Demarcus Lawrence (2018-19) after using the tag for the second time.
The team must be placed on a free agent with a tag on ET at 4 pm on Tuesday.
In 2021, Cowboy’s third round picks at UCLA were 26 years old Odighizuwa, who missed the game in his career (63 consecutive times, starting 63 times).
He spent the best season in 2024 with 2024 career in 2024 with up to 4.5 sacks, 47 tackles, five tackles, one forced dumble and one pass bias. He received 54 pressure from Mika Parsons in Cowboy.
In 6 feet -2, 280 pounds, Odighizuwa depends on the leverage and faster than the Brute Strength, but it can withstand well in run games. He played Career High 860 Snaps (77.9%) in 2024.
He has 172 tackles and 13.5 bags in four NFL seasons.
