Following the release of Netflix’s cult documentary series Dancing for the Devil: 7M TikTok Cult; TikTok dancer and content creator Miranda Derrick says she and her husband James have been receiving death threats. Furthermore, Derek and her husband were followed in their car and received hate mail suggesting the perpetrators commit suicide. Derrick also mentioned that she and her husband had been stalked and now fear for their safety.

The three-part hit documentary series, which first aired on May 29, 2024, follows the story of a group of TikTok dancers who are believed to be connected to an LA-based talent management company called 7M Films. The Netflix cult documentary focuses specifically on Miranda, an internet celebrity who had a relationship with Robert Shinn, founder of 7M Films, self-described man of God, and pastor of a non-denominational invitation-only church called Shekinah.
