The conflict between two giants struggling with underfire managers

MONews
9 Min Read

Tottenham is ready to face Manchester United this Sunday, and the two clubs are in a terrible robber.

If it is considered a Premier League heavyweight player, both sides suffer from the lower half of the table and cannot create real momentum in the campaign.

Their cup performances were equally overwhelming. Early exit and sub -performance were frustrated with each fanbase.

ToTenham and United have not gathered consistent victory, and are changing their work by applying pressure on managers, Ange postecoglou and Ruben amorim.

If the two clubs are at the intersection, these fixtures can be a decisive moment for the season.

Postecoglou ‘S TOTENHAM: Injury crisis and lack of depth

When Postecoglou arrived at Tottenham, he first brought fans with this long fresh and aggressive philosophy.

However, as the season progressed, Spurs’ flaws were ruthlessly exposed. The biggest problem of harassing North London Club is a wide range of injuries.

Sometimes, Postecoglou had no more than half of the XI preferred with major players such as James Maddison, Mickey Van de Gen and Cristian Romero.

Due to this crisis, Tottenham struggled to maintain the intensity needed to compete on several fronts.

Another major concern is that the club did not properly strengthen the squad in the transmission window.

Despite some strengthening, Spurs did not bring the depth needed to effectively compete in the Premier League, Carabao Cup, FA CUP and EUROPA LEAGUE.

As a result, many people have suffered from pure fatigue since they played twice a week since the end of 2024.

With a limited squad rotation, Tottenham seemed to be slow and energyless in the recent game and worsened their struggle.

Amorim’s man utd: The system is changed without success

Ruben Amorim was in charge of Manchester United after the dismissal of Erik Ten Hag, but his term has not yet achieved positive results.

Contrary to many new management promises that bring early bounce, Amorim’s arrival was met with a continuous struggle.

One of the biggest problems was the decision to implement a new tactical system.

This approach worked well for him in SPorting, but it has not been successfully translated yet in Old Trafford, and the player seemed uncomfortable and confused in a new role.

In addition to tactical changes, United’s squads are filled with low performance players.

People like Joshua Zirkzee, Casemiro and Andre ONANA have left Amorim without the quality needed to execute their vision because they do not meet expectations.

Many of these players were panic purchases or remnants of the previous regime and emphasized that there was a lack of clear transfer strategy in the club.

United will continue to work for consistency until Amorim can reconstruct the squad in his image.

Tottenham and Manchester United’s ownership issues

Tottenham and Manchester United’s struggles are all expanded beyond the stadium. Each ownership group is burning about the priority of soccer success rather than business profits.

In Tottenham, Daniel Levy is still a divided person. He supervised the growth of the club’s financial power, but it was a major cause of frustration for fans to be reluctant to spend greatly on proven talents.

Spurs has cutting -edge stadiums and training facilities, but the team lacks the depth needed to compete at the highest level.

The focus on balancing Levi’s book was cautious in the transfer market, and managers such as Postecoglou left a limited option when injured.

The problem of Manchester United comes from the influence of ineos in recent clubs. JIM Ratcliffe and Sir Ineos wanted to reduce costs and simplify their operations after acquiring their shares in United.

But their focus on financial prudence did not love them in the fans. United were reluctant to spend instead of bold movements to strengthen the squad, and decision -making lacked the ambitions needed to restore the club to the previous glory.

The inability to connect with supporters has made it more difficult for Amorim’s jobs to marginalize the already frustrated fanbase.

Why is Postecoglou and Amorim not fired?

Despite their struggle, both managers are responsible. Postecoglou was a little affordable due to the unprecedented injuries of Tottenham.

Even his critics admit that no manager can thrive depending on the number of major stones that Spurs have endured this season. Given the promising starts he created, the club is willing to give him time to turn it when the squad is fully suitable.

Amorim, on the other hand, is still in his early term. Plundering him will be regarded as the failure of the United board of directors, which will further impair their reliability.

Amorim is still trying to embody his philosophy and to show his authority to the squad. The result was poor, but United would give more time to completely reconstruct the team before making a bold decision.

How can Spurs and Uniteds save the seasons?

Tottenham and Manchester United should focus on the cup competition as the Premier League campaign appears beyond repair.

For Spurs, Europa League shows the best opportunity in silver products and repayment.

If you win the tournament, you’ll end up a long trophy drought and get a place in the Champions League next season to provide a lot of help after a disappointing league campaign.

United should also look at the Europa League as the main goal. If the Champions League qualifications through the Premier League are less likely, it will be an important achievement to secure the Europa League title.

The FA Cup also provides another potential path to get the season. Getting a product in Korea will give Amorim a reliability and buy more time to realize your vision in the club.

Will both administrators survive?

Tottenham and Manchester United are preparing to face, and the two managers are undergoing tremendous pressure.

Big defeat can be pushed closer to the bag. As the steak increases, the game on Sunday is more than three battles. It is an important test for the characters of Postecoglou and Amorim.

If the club keeps shaking, the possibility of management change will grow. At the moment, both administrators stay in place, but each board and fanbase patience is becoming thinner.

If things are not soon improved, Tottenham and Manchester United will be looking for another new start before the season begins.
