New York Giants wide receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette shined in Week 17 against the Indianapolis Colts, returning a second-half kickoff 100 yards for home.
Smith-Marsette almost broke up for weeks, and it finally happened on Sunday. Team members’ joy.

The return, which gave the Giants a 28-13 win, tied the record for the longest kick return in team history and was the first return since Oct. 25, 2015 (Dwayne Harris).
“Someone said it was the first time since 2015.” Smith-Marsette said after the game:. “Nine years is quite a long time. I am happy. I hope we can do it again someday.”
Smith-Marsette’s efforts were further rewarded on Monday when he was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
