As soon as the Jets sung Spencer Shrader’s praises, he was gone from the roster.

The kicker carousel, which will take the Jets to their fourth kicker in the last four games on Sunday, got into its most intense rotation Thursday when the Chiefs acquired Shrader from the Jets’ practice squad in news released at 4:32 p.m.

About 25 minutes ago, special teams coordinator Brant Boyer talked about how Shrader attempted two field goals in his Jets’ debut as a game-day roster riser.

“The kids have a lot of talent,” Boyer said. “I think he did a good job of doing what we asked him to do, blending in with those guys and doing a good job in the game.”

The Jets offered Shrader a spot on the 53-man roster to ward off interest from the Chiefs, as first reported by ESPN and confirmed by The Post, but Shrader instead decided to join the undefeated two-time defending Super Bowl champions. Replaces injured Harrison Butker.

So the Jets will likely turn to another practice squad promotion. Anders Carlson, who went 5-for-5 on field goals for the 49ers earlier this season.

Carlson was a sixth-round pick of the Packers in 2023, but was cut after a shaky season.

The Jets placed previously reliable veteran Greg Zuerlein on injured reserve after converting just 9 of 15 field goals in eight games and switching to Riley Patterson.

Patterson made 3 of 3 PATs but was still cut last week to make way for Shrader’s rival, Carlson.

“We’re trying to find the best guy,” Boyer said. “That’s where it all ends.”
