In our review One Plus 12We said that affordability is one of the best things about smartphones. Now, thanks to Amazon’s upcoming Prime Day sale, that’s an even more compelling point. A 19% discount reduces the price to $650 for the model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. This is a new all-time low (it has hit $700 a few times before). that 16GB/512GB model It’s also $150 off, bringing it down to $750.

This is a new low price for an (already pretty cheap) Android smartphone.

Aside from being a great value for a flagship phone, OnePlus also has a solid camera that takes sharp, sharp images. The camera module is noticeably bulky and will display a watermark from Hasselblad (the camera company that works with OnePlus) unless you choose to remove it.

Battery life is another plus. A video rundown test measured a lifespan of over 26 hours. In just 10 minutes of wall charging, the phone’s battery went from 10% to 55%. It recharged up to 37% in the same amount of time using the OnePlus wireless charger, which can be purchased separately for $50.

The design is pleasantly “retro” (if you can apply that term to an aesthetic from just five years ago), with rounded corners and tapered edges like the Galaxy S10+. The OnePlus 12 also draws on its past track record when it comes to AI. That means giving up most of the latest technology in favor of basic (but solid) smartphone features.

The screen and processor are thoroughly modern, with a very bright and sharp 120Hz screen and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip that we found to deliver fluid performance despite slightly lower clocks in some benchmarks.

Amazon sells it elsewhere too. One Plus Open With $400 off the $1,300 phone, we’ve chosen the cheaper option among the flagship foldables. This is the price Open had previously achieved until last month.
