The Speaker of the House spoke with the leaders and Trump ahead of voting on the bill.

After Republicans attempted to blame everyone else for a crisis they created, House Speaker Mike Johnson finally appeared to be able to pass a spending bill Friday night to keep the government open through the end of the year and into the next administration.

Johnson came out of the House to play cheerleader and try to erase all memories of the Republican Party. disastrous bill processing—and how Elon Musk Shadow President And President-elect Donald Trump sabotaged an earlier version of it. When asked whether he spoke to Musk or Trump about the final bill, Johnson’s response was interesting.

I have been in constant contact with President Trump throughout this process. I most recently spoke with him about 45 minutes ago. He knew exactly what we were doing and why we were doing it. And this is a good outcome for the country. I think he’s definitely happy with this result. Elon Musk and I spoke about an hour ago.

That would make it sound like Musk approved the deal before Trump. Of course, this would be contradictory. Trump’s team captain The Donald is entirely in charge, and the world’s real richest man is not the one in charge of everything.
