Instead of disputing the facts presented by Jack Smith, the Donald Trump campaign is calling for a witch hunt.
CNN’s Jake Tapper asked Kristen Holmes what specific facts the Trump campaign was disputing in the filing, and she responded:
Well, as of now, I haven’t heard them dispute the facts there. We didn’t hear the same thing we’ve heard time and time again: this is a witch hunt, this is a fraud, this is it. It’s all political. That’s not the same as analyzing and providing examples of exactly what’s wrong and what’s not.
I would like to mention just one thing about politics here. Because, as Paula mentioned, maybe we didn’t know from our previous submissions, but maybe we just don’t get a lot of headlines on that front. But timetables are important. Because one of the things we talk about a lot more covering politics is that people stop paying attention about 60 days before the election to about 30 days before the election. So this is not new to us, it’s not new to people who are watching this very closely, but this may be new to a lot of Americans who are paying attention to this election right now. And trying to hold on to every single word and figure out exactly which candidate they want to vote for and why they’re voting for Donald Trump.. So some of these may be stark reminders to people just a few days before they go to the polls.

It is not normal for innocent people to not challenge the evidence against them. One thing that stands out about Trump’s case is that he presents new evidence of his innocence. Where are the Trump documents and witnesses? There is nothing. Where is the third party that says Trump did not commit a crime?
There is none of that either. Jack Smith was able to submit a 180-page document containing evidence, and Trump responded with a witch hunt.
