Omni Key Bauer WrightOne of my favorite keyboards this year is on sale for up to $95 ($25 off) as part of this week’s Omnitype. Black Friday sale in progress. I paid mine in full earlier this year, which was a steal. It feels good to type on, the layout is great, it’s customizable, fun to organize, and colorful. What’s not to love?

The Bauer Lite has a plastic case that comes in fantastic translucent colors, from clear to atomic purple, bright blue, seafoam, coral, dark red, and my personal favorite, neon orange. If you’re like me and your brain can sometimes be tricked by a jolt of fluorescent color into feeling a little happier, this is good news.

Comes as a barebones kit. That means you’ll have to supply your own keycaps, switches, and stabilizers, so the actual build cost will be upwards of $95. You will have to assemble it yourself, but it is also very easy. The kit comes with a comprehensive user manual. i used duroc stabilizer and Kyle Deep Sea Tranquil Island I recommend both for linear switches in my build.

The Bauer Lite has no lighting (RGB, etc.) or wireless connectivity. It also only comes in a 65% layout, with or without split backspace, and has a 1.5u bottom row modifier and a 7u spacebar, so make sure your keycaps include those.
