Mohammed Siraj was the net. Gujarat Titans came in at 2 Crores. CSK also joined. Rajasthan Royals bid for 8.25 Crores. GT bought him for 12.25 Crores.

Yuzvendra Chahal came up next. Gujarat Titans CSK followed in the footsteps of veteran Leggie. LSG and PBKS also joined. RCB bid for $14 million. Punjab Kings won the leggy for 18 Crores.

David Miller was the next player to be auctioned for the 2025 IPL. GT and RCB immediately prepared to paddle for him. RCB and LSG have entered into a bidding war worth $7.5 billion. LSG acquired Miller for 7.50 Crores.

The first player to come up in the second set was Mohamed Shami. KKR bid $200 million. CSK also joined. LSG joined later and SRH joined for 10 Crores to take Shami.

Rishabh Pant was won by RCB and LSG through a bidding war in the 2025 IPL auction. His price quickly rose to 10 Crores. SRH also participated in the bid. But LSG took him for 20.75 Crores. DC has increased Pant’s RTM. LSG bid 27 Crores for Pant and flew away.

Mitchell Starc immediately caught the attention of Mumbai Indians. KKR also joined. DC joined in at $6.25 billion. RCB bid for 10 Crores while DC got Starc for 11.75 Crores.

Jos Buttler was the next player up. Rajasthan Royals immediately showed interest and Gujarat Titans followed them. PBKS and LSG have also joined in for Buttler in the 2025 IPL auction. GT acquired him for 15.75 Crores.

Shreyas Iyer’s bid was initiated by KKR. PBKS participated in the tender along with Kolkata. Delhi Capitals had placed a bid of 7.50 Crores in the 2025 IPL auction. Punjab re-entered after KKR exited at 10 Crores. The bid went up to 26.75 Crores and DC walked out and Punjab Kings got Shreyas Iyer.

Kagiso Rabada was purchased by Gujarat Titans for INR 10.75 Crores.

Arshdeep Singh was RTMd by Punjab Kings for INR 18 Crores.

Everything as expected IPL Team Some big surprises happened. One of the most surprising things is that Kolkata Knight Riders have decided not to retain IPL winning captain Shreyas Iyer. The reigning champions retained six players. But they did not retain Iyer.

Like KKR, Delhi Capitals also released captain Rishabh Pant. The wicketkeeper-batsman was with the franchise for nine years before deciding to part ways. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians retained big Indian names in the team.

Speculations were rife that Rohit Sharma would leave the franchise after he was unceremoniously sacked from the captaincy, but the five-time IPL champion retained him. Apart from Rohit, Mumbai Indians also retained the likes of Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma.

Chennai Super Kings also retained former captain MS Dhoni despite being an unrestricted player. Besides Dhoni, CSK also retained captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, Matheesha Pathirana, Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube.

In total, the 10 franchises have a total of 46 players remaining. Among the 10 teams, only two – KKR and Rajasthan Royals – retained their full quota of six players. Punjab Kings retained the least number of players – 2.

Meanwhile, South African superstar Heinrich Klaasen emerged as the highest-paid player. Sunrisers Hyderabad have secured his services for INR 23 crores ahead of the 2025 IPL auction.

Punjab Kings will enter the auction with the biggest purse. After spending INR 9.5 crores to retain two uncapped players – Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh, the Punjab-based company has a remaining purse of INR 110.5 crores. They are the only team with a purse of over 10 billion.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru has the second largest purse with INR 83 crores. Three players remain in the Bengaluru-based team – Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar and Yash Dayal. With only INR 41 crores remaining, Rajasthan Royals will enter the 2025 IPL auction with the smallest purse.

In the IPL 2025 mega auction, every Indian Premier League team received a purse value of INR 120 Crores each. Before the 2025 IPL auction, BCCI has directed all franchises to submit their IPL reserves 2025 list by 5 PM IST on October 31, 2024.
