Torta is a Spanish cooking term that mentions cakes or flat bread, but it mentions Mexican sandwiches. I like Torta! They are very similar to tacos, but they can be charged a little more with sandwich bread with sandwich bread and have endless fillings that can be used to create ideal torta recipes.
In most cases, Torta is made of Telera or Bolillo bread, but if you can find one of them, you can use the rolls or baguettes of blood keratin. I like to toast bread and then fill it with meat, lettuce, tomatoes, melted cheese or avocado sauce (if you want to use both). The recipe card at the end of this post will share a specific recipe for Carnitas Torta. But this will also share other charging ideas.
relevant: It’s not traditional, but you can use handmade focaccia for bread in this torta recipe.

Breakfast
Try Torta for breakfast! Think of this like a breakfast taco’s sandwich version or morning beak. You can make a torta similar to what’s described in the above materials, add fried eggs, or use your favorite breakfast tacos.

How to create torta
If necessary, slice bolillo or telera bread in half. Tost the bread in the middle heat in a dry frying pan.
Add spreads such as avocado sauce or chipole sauce. Then stack the layer on the meat filling, such as Karnita, thinly sliced tomatoes, crushed lettuce and other fillers.

Tip and Notes
- To add melted cheese, add one piece or two cheese inside the bread, helping the cheese to melt.
- If you fill the meat in advance, it warms it before adding it to the sandwich.
- If this torta finds something too messy or when the filling is easily dropped, it is recommended to pack aluminum foil like a beak so that you can eat warm and messy windows.
- Torta is the day it was made. However, many components can be made in advance or prepared and stored separately in the refrigerator. Then, if you are ready, toast and assemble the sandwich.
