HGTV took over Instagram We’re sharing a lovely promotion on Monday, September 16th. Flip off. This short video features Tarek El Moussa, Heather Rae El Moussa, and Christina Hall. Christina Hall was formerly Christina Haack and of course, Christina El Moussa.
In the promo video, Tarek and El Moussa are seen hugging and smiling for the camera, as if taking a picture.
At this point, Christina Hall appears behind them. If this were a photo, she would photobomb them. Then she pushes the couple into the frame, and everyone seems to laugh.
Perhaps the most inspiring part of this video, aside from the quirky yet comfortable chemistry on screen, is the music.
The song is “Me, You, and Steve” by Garfunkel and Oates. A frequent topic of fandom relationship discussions, the song describes a third wheel situation that the singer wonders about. them It’s becoming a third wheel.
“I can’t believe it’s finally just me and you, and you and me, and us and your friend Steve,” the song goes. Many of us have been partners, friends, or the casually happy ones in between. Some have even been all three.
What movie is ‘The Flip Off’?
Originally, Christina Hall would have partnered with Josh Hall on The Flip Off. The Hall family and (now) El Musas would have competed to buy, renovate, and sell homes for profit.
The competition will bring a fresh twist to the now familiar house-flipping television genre (and the competition is part of the magic). Like or add to listSo it’s not such a bad idea)
But Josh filed for divorce in July, meaning he and Christina would no longer be life partners. Flip off It’s a very different vibe, as you can see from the promo.
Josh will no longer be a part of it. Flip off. But the show itself still continues with this very new dynamic… somehow.
The thing about this particular subgenre of innovative shows is that the chemistry between the stars is what matters most. Whether it’s people cracking specific jokes, Real Estate Brothers Or you see a healthy marriage, or you see an unhealthy marriage,
Clearly, HGTV isn’t getting the “predecessor rivals and their new partners” situation. But what they’re actually getting could be a lot better.
Fans seem to like the trio vibe.
“I love this. It’s the parent and co-parent becoming adults,” one commenter praised on Instagram. “I’m glad everyone is doing well! They’re polite adults and healthy for the kids.”
Another agreed: “It’s great that they can support each other professionally. They can be good role models for their kids.”
But… not everyone seems to be enthusiastic. Some people don’t think there’s any point in filming The Flip Off without Josh Hall, which balances out the team. And others just didn’t like the premise of the show in the first place.
