MEDLEY, Fla. – Napheesa Collier didn’t co-found a new, unrivaled league. She is dominating the competition.
Collier set single-game non-regular records with 37 points and 18 rebounds in an 82-58 win Saturday night in the second of two games at Wayfair Arena.
“We want to win,” Collier said in his postgame interview.
Collier is the Unlivaled’s leading scorer, averaging 31.7 points through the team’s first three games. She scored 27 in the opener and 31 in the second match last weekend. She also averages 11.7 rebounds, trailing only fellow league co-founder Breanna Stewart (11.8).
“She is an Olympian. Brittney Griner said after facing Collier, her Olympic 5-on-5 teammate in Tokyo and Paris.
“Wherever she plays, she is one act for the next. She will make her teammates better. She is a professional. With a guy like that, you just want to make it hard for her. If you look at the box score, I probably could have done a better job at that tonight.”
Allisha Gray scored the game-clinching bucket and finished with 21 points, while Skylar Diggins-Smith finished with 16 points for the Lunar Owls.
The Lunar Owls will be back in action Monday night against Vinyl (2-1), while Rose (1-2) faces the Rays (3-0) to cap the second weekend of the 3-on-3 Girls Basketball League. Pay it.
Satou Sabally led the Phantoms with 19 points, Natisha Hiedeman had 18 and Griner had 10 points and five rebounds. The Phantoms won their first game Friday but fell to 1-3 on the season.
Lexie Hull scored 19 points, Kahleah Copper had 18 and Chelsea Gray scored the game-winning bucket to help the Roses beat the Mists 71-66 in their first game on Saturday night.
Azurá Stevens added 16 points and 7 rebounds, and Gray also had 7 rebounds and 6 assists in Rose’s first win of the season in an unmatched performance.

But the Mysts win even after being unmatched for the first two weeks. Stewart had 20 points and 9 rebounds for the Mists, who fell to 0-4.

Mist (0-3) vs. Rose (0-2) Preview
Stewart had 27 points and 11 rebounds, and Rico Jackson added 24 points, but the Mists fell to the Phantoms 74-69 on Friday night to fall to 0-3. They hope to avoid two winless weekends.
