Brooklyn VW Bug Car Street

What’s on your fall checklist? The weather is getting cooler, the fridge is stocked with apples, and you’re excited to watch a cozy movie. Here are 7 more things to do to relax…

Joanna Cezanne

1. Shop in a real store. On weekends, I Cezanne I had a great time browsing the fall collection in Manhattan. The store is beautiful with velvet dressing room curtains and friendly staff. I tried on several everyday pieces. Enameled leather bag (This comes in speculation), large trench (Pretty lining!) And Leopard shoes (It would look cute with jeans). After that, I walked home in the sunshine with a cup of coffee. I had a really good time all morning.

2. Go apple picking. My friend Alison just took her two kids apple picking. Fishkill Farm And she raved about it. “We do this every year,” she told us. “The farm has everything you could want – apples, pears, flowers, a tractor to drive around the farm. By the end of the day, the kids were covered in dirt. so I’m happy.” Bonus: The next morning, Apple Pancakes.

Egg Sandwich Brooklyn Best

3. Find the best egg sandwich/banana bread/croissant/cookie/whatever you want. Last week, I was texting with a friend who was having a hard time. We were brainstorming fun activities to do to distract her and decided to find the best chocolate chip cookie in Brooklyn. Do you have a place you swear by? (So far, 4th floor apartment (is in the lead)

4. Viewing bad sisters season 2. Irish black comedy returns on November 13th. I loved all the ladies in this wonderful series and can’t wait to see what my bestie Sharon Hogan does next season.

5. Host a craft night. I am hopelessly untalented in crafts, but Making Valentine’s Day Cards Last year, while working with friends, I realized that I love making things with my hands, even if the results are horrible. So, as the days get shorter and we spend more time at home, I’m looking for easy projects that I can do with friends or kids. How cool would that be? This grape wreath What do you see at the dinner table?

6. Take a walk while listening to a fun podcast. There is something deeply satisfying about a fall walk. You breathe in the cool air and feel the leaves crunch under your feet. If you are in a chatty mood, talk to a friend on the phone for five minutes. Or if you are in the mood for a good laugh, Celebrity Book Club Episodes For French chef Jacques Pépin – it’s really great.

7. Plop down on the couch and grab a book. What are you reading? Two of my favorite authors, Elizabeth Strout and Sally Rooney, are publishing novels this fall. Strout’s tell me everything (Out today!) Her two beloved heroines, Lucy Barton and Olive Kitteridge, are caught up in a murder case together. IntermezzoRooney’s book follows two brothers as they mourn their father’s death, while also grappling with their own tumultuous (of course) romantic relationship. Also, Ruman Alam’s next book is qualificationsI clearly have succession vibes, coming out next week. Have you read his scary novel that came out in 2020? Leave the world behind? It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.

What’s on your low-key fall checklist this year? I’d love to know.
