As part of MBW’s annual partnership with Vevo’s DSCVR Artists to Watch list, emerging talent is being put in the spotlight for the second time.

Towa Bird

David McTiernan, Head of Artist and Label Relations: “Towa Bird is everything we want and need in a Gen Z rockstar: bold, edgy, funny and confident, not to mention an absolute badass on the guitar.

“She’s been the (if not so) secret weapon behind Reneé Rapp and Olivia Rodrigo over the past few years, and we’re thrilled to be able to show a new audience of fans what she can do when she gets the spotlight. . American Hero is one of my favorite albums of the year and I can’t wait to see Towa continue to shred in 2025.”

lucky love

Lyva Corvo, Manager, Music and Talent, France: Meeting Lucky Love and his group of vocalists was a truly special moment for me personally. He is bringing refreshing new energy to the French music scene with a ballad/dance-pop style that reflects his vibrant and hopeful personality.

“His sound is an ode to joy. It’s empowering, it resonates, and it reaches beyond borders. “As a singer, dancer, and model, Lucky Love has extraordinary charisma and talent, so I’m looking forward to seeing what he will show in 2025.”

Lucky Love: We’re thrilled to be recognized as one of Vevo’s Featured Artists. This was definitely a milestone I wanted to reach. We had a great time filming the DSCVR live sessions, and we’re very proud to present this beautiful performance alongside our debut album. “None of this would have been possible without the Vevo team.”

wisp

James Mecker, Senior Manager, Music Programming: “Music should always be in conversation with the past, and with this in mind, Wisp represents everything that makes the art form so fun through its take on the beloved analog subgenre of shoegaze. It reimagines the ’90s for the digital 21st century, bridging the gap between generations and showing that some things will always be universal.

“Listening to her 6-track EP pandora This year brought back memories of me as a depressed teenager, wearing black in the summer and turning up the reverb to overpower everything else. “Why do we listen to music if not to recall these memories?”

Wisp: “I wasn’t really impressed until after filming was over. Because while filming I was so into the fun of it all and how great it all looked to me. But I’m so excited to have the opportunity to participate in Vevo DSCVR. I grew up watching rock/alternative bands on radio shows and TV channels. So to play Nougat’s music on a platform where all artists can shine is very special to me. “I’m happy to be able to represent such an important part of me.”worldwide music business
