A Florida dog rescued after its owner left him chained to a fence to surely die during Hurricane Milton is up for adoption with a fantastic new name.
Here’s the deal… The adorable bull terrier made national headlines this week when Milton was rescued by state troopers who found him tied to a fence while galloping in Tampa. Essentially left for dead by his ruthless master.
Now the puppy, appropriately nicknamed “Trooper,” is ready to be placed with a family who actually curses at him, according to the Leon County Humane Society.
Accusing unknown former owner of being “cruel and thoughtless”… The shelter says it has been bombarded with requests to adopt Trooper… But it is not currently accepting any applications… The poor animal is yet to recover This is because you are recovering from a stressful event.
For now… Trooper will be in foster care until he’s ready for his forever home… but the shelter noted there are many other eligible dogs in need of adoption.
And as far as the family goes, it looks like the dog will choose his own litter.
Good boy.
