Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin lives an ordinary life. By her standards, anyway.
Rubin doesn’t seem to like Democrats sitting on their hands after Donald Trump won the election in a landslide earlier this week. While most would argue that equating his voters with Hitler probably didn’t help the result, Rubin chose to double down instead.
She doesn’t want to hear your post-election report. Hitler is literally trying to seize power in America! Or something.
“It’s 1933. Hitler is in power,” she wrote on X, minus the ominous music in the background. “I don’t have time […] “Seminar on Democratic Party Messaging Errors.”
Jennifer Rubin Gets Driven by Crazy Things
Let me get this straight. Democrats and the media warned ahead of the election that Trump and his supporters were basically Nazis. Voters respond with a giant middle finger on Election Day. And Jennifer Rubin thinks the way forward… is to keep calling the next president Hitler.
It seems reasonable.
Rubin was completely fired up by the bad idea.
The year is 1933. Hitler is in power. I don’t have time for a seminar on the Democratic Party’s message errors.

“Maybe I could spend some time in a mental hospital?” a woman helpful suggestions. “Please call me ‘spa’ if it helps.”
Narrator: That probably won’t help.
“Maybe he’s not Hitler. Is that what the Democrats got wrong and why they lost?” other the reader argues.
Look, you’re trying to convince a crazy person. It won’t work. The only hope is the aforementioned ‘spa’ treatment.
“Yes. “You don’t need to find out why more than half the country is against you,” came one response. “It doesn’t matter.”
Of course not. The important thing is to remind people that Trump is Hitler.

Remember when she pretended to be a conservative?
For those who think the connection is too strong to suggest that Hitler’s rhetoric could lead to another attempt on Trump’s life, give it a break.
They’ve been calling him this for years, suggesting he’s a threat to democracy and American life itself. And he pretended to be angry when some madman thought he should try to get rid of him.
After about three hours, when the anger subsided, they started calling him Hitler again. Needless to say, astute readers of The Political Insider will note that Jennifer Rubin once speculated favorably about the deaths of Republicans who did not get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Jennifer Rubin wants more Republicans to die from coronavirus than Democrats.
This is not surprising, considering that in August 2019 she hoped the Republican Party would be “extinct” and there would be “no survivors.”

She is the same woman who said the Republican Party should be ‘burned out’ until there are no ‘survivors.’
Can you imagine if this type of rhetoric came from the Republican side and was targeted in the media at Democrats or their minions?
