Watch: Depot Dive (Episode 9)

3 Min Read

May 30, 2024 – Episode 9 —

In this episode of The Depot Dive, Joe Clark and I begin with a discussion of the NFLPA’s proposal to create a lull in the NFL’s offseason schedule by adjusting the offseason schedule and moving OTAs closer to training camps. We present our opinions and why we think it will ultimately pass, and what the NFL might be looking for in return.

We then move on to the first topic listed, with the JuJu Smith-Schuster return likely to be a hot topic throughout last week. We discuss whether we think this will be a defining moment for the Steelers and ultimately decide they shouldn’t bring him back.

The second topic discusses running backs getting more involved in OC Arthur Smith’s passing game and how Jaylen Warren could greatly benefit from it. We also talk about some comments from Harry Douglas, who said the Steelers could have a top-five rushing attack in 2024, and whether he thinks that will happen.

As a final topic, we talk about team bonding between the quarterback and offensive line over a recent dinner at The Capital Grille and why this could have a huge positive impact for the Steelers after their leadership issues in 2023.

We conclude the show with listener questions where we are asked to provide “hot takes” about the 2024 season.
