I was lying on the sofa the other day watching. the sopranosJust like people do.
On this day’s broadcast, Tony looks at the hospital bulletin board…
… Text written on a notecard: “Sometimes I walk around feeling sorry for myself, and while I do that, a strong wind carries me across the sky.” At first Tony felt thrown. Who put the card there and why? — but it affects him enough that he later tells a distorted version several times to friends and relatives.
As the holidays approach, I’ve been thinking about quotes and sentiments. What has been difficult in your life recently and what has driven you? What big or small things are you grateful for? I’d like to hear it.
Thank you to the professional photographer at Dave & Busters for taking these adorable photos of our kids.
We are especially grateful for WhatsApp as it is a way for us to stay in close contact with our loved ones in the UK during this time of illness and loss.
I felt incredibly lucky to have seen Electric perform in Cole Escola’s dark comedy play. Oh, Mary! It is a revelation, a genius, a spark!
Of course, I am grateful not only to my friends who make me feel like family, but also to my family. As with anyone, there’s a lot going on behind the scenes and it’s amazing that there is a mutual support system.
And finally, this beautiful community of smart, funny, and thoughtful people. We’ve been through a lot together over the last 18 years! I sincerely hope you are doing well. Thank you so much for being here. xoxo
Now tell me yours! What is difficult these days? What helps carry you? What are you grateful for?
PS Life lessons learned at my grandmother’s funeral, and happiness and wholeness.
