The 2023 WNBA Finals are finally here. We’ve been hyped up all week, and if you’re reading this, you’re probably hyped up too. In one of the most exciting Finals matchups, the reigning champions, the Las Vegas Aces, look to make a comeback, while the New York Liberty vie for their first ever title.

And there are all sorts of storylines in between: 2022 WNBA MVP vs. 2023 MVP. Vegas Strip vs. Big Apple. The first Finals meeting between two coaches who used to drop buckets at the W.

With the league’s exciting expansion announcement, it’s time for women’s basketball. Game 1 is already in Vegas for a sold-out crowd. We love watching it.

We won’t say we said it, but the Aces were on the cover of WSLAM 3 and the Liberty were on the cover of SLAM 246. In retrospect, it made it clear that both teams were ready to prove all the talk wrong and play the game their own way.

To get ready for everything WNBA Finals, check out our coverage below.

🎰 Las Vegas 🎰

🗽 New York 🗽

As New York’s head coach Sandy Brondello As mentioned in her initial assessment: On the “superteam showdown” after a Game 4 win in Connecticut: “We haven’t played in a long time, but we’re playing last year’s champs. I think it’s going to be a really tough series, and hopefully more and more people will be watching the game and we can continue to grow.”

Whatever happens, history is on the cards. “Someone is making history.” Hammon explained. “It’s either we win back-to-back titles or New York wins its first. As far as the dynasty and all that, we’re going to be No. 2. We have to get there before we get to No. 3 or No. 4. We’re doing what we have to do now and not worrying about a few years from now.”

We’re looking forward to this final, what about you?
