The Women’s National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA) recently announced a partnership with Def Jam Recordings. Together, the two companies will launch a “Bet on Women” playlist featuring the record label’s female artists to promote and celebrate women in the music and sports industries.

“The intersection of music and sports has driven our culture, our athletes and the sports they play,” said Terry Jackson, WNBPA Executive Director. “We rely on the influence of music to engage our fans and share life experiences through the ‘conversation’ of music and beats.”

This playlist is designed to inspire and motivate listeners through power walks, spin workouts, and even daily routines at work, and features artists ranging from Ashanti and Rihanna to Jhené Aiko and Coco Jones.

“Def Jam Recordings is proud to partner with the Women’s National Basketball Player’s Association to celebrate the powerful intersection of music and sports. Together, we will uplift and empower women through the universal language of music,” said LaTrice Burnette, EVP of Def Jam Recordings and President of 4th & Broadway.

Through this partnership, WNBPA and Def Jam Recordings will continue to support and encourage all women.
