Wolverine’s Origins
James Howlett was born in Alberta, Canada in the late 90s. He struggles with many health issues. His mutant powers are triggered one day when gardener Thomas Logan shoots his father. In retaliation, James kills Thomas by cutting him with his newly retractable bone claws. Through this incident, James learns that Thomas is actually his biological father. He leaves Alberta with his friend Rose O’Hara and eventually finds safe haven in a quarry. James decides to use the name Logan instead.
Thanks to his mutant powers, he becomes healthy and develops animal senses, enhanced hearing, and the ability to recognize smells. His healing powers also erase traumatic experiences from Logan’s memory, so he constantly has no recollection of past events. He also becomes more violent in the process, and Rose ends up on the bad end of a violent but accidental explosion, which ultimately leads to her death.
Logan decides to engage in cage fighting to deal with his aggression, earning himself the nickname “Wolverine”.
Back to reality
Logan travels the world, serving as a soldier in major wars including World War I, World War II, the Spanish Civil War, and the Vietnam War. He escapes and is kidnapped by the Canadian super soldier program known as Weapon X. He is chosen as an ideal candidate due to his healing factor, and adamantium is fused to his skeleton. The operation is successful, and Logan becomes more indestructible and is armed with retractable adamantium claws.

Logan’s Weapon X mission also includes stopping the Hulk and killing all the residents of a small town. He escapes the Weapon X program and kills almost everyone in the facility. What Logan doesn’t realize is that the Weapon X program has been storing his DNA and using it to create clones.
Friends and enemies
Wolverine finds a home in the X-Men, a mutant team led by Professor Charles Xavier. Here, he meets other mutants such as Storm and Beast. Wolverine becomes involved in a love triangle with Cyclops, who fights for the attention of the lovely telepath Dr. Jean Grey. Wolverine teams up with teams such as X-Force, the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, and even the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. He even aids Black Panther in Wakanda.
Wolverine has had a long list of enemies including Victor Creed/Sabertooth, who has retractable claws and a healing factor. Magneto at one point ripped the adamantium out of Logan’s body. At one point, Hydra brainwashed Wolverine. Wolverine has come face to face with many members of the infamous Mutant Brotherhood. The virus has taken away Wolverine’s healing powers, making him a target for all enemies. This led him to seek help from his creator, Dr. Cornelius. When Wolverine learned that the Weapon X program was not finished, he attempted to end it, resulting in his death and someone else taking over as Wolverine. Can you guess who?
