– The WRC will be held over 14 rounds across multiple continents, making it the biggest season since 2008.

– Look forward to new rallies in Spain, Paraguay and Saudi Arabia.

– The championship includes ice, snow, gravel, asphalt and desert terrain.

New stops in Spain, Paraguay and Saudi Arabia will make up 14 exciting rounds of racing on the 2025 FIA World Rally Championship calendar.

After its traditional start amid the glitz and glamour of Monte Carlo at the end of January, the WRC will travel through Africa, Asia, Europe and South America before arriving in Saudi Arabia at the end of November for its longest calendar since 2008.

The first three rounds in 2025 are expected to follow a similar pattern to 2024, with Umeå hosting Rally Sweden in February and Safari Rally Kenya returning in March.

The Canary Islands, a familiar sight to fans of the FIA European Rally Championship (ERC), are ready to welcome the WRC to their homeland for the first time, marking the return of the WRC to Spain after a two-year hiatus. Offering a smooth, twisty asphalt surface, the risk of fog as the rally heads into the island’s mountainous interior makes this round a unique challenge.

Hundreds of thousands of fans will take part in the Vodafone Rally de Portugal in northern Portugal in May, before the WRC returns to Sardinia for a second stop on the island this year in June.

Another iconic rally on the calendar, traditionally held in June, is the EKO Acropolis Rally Greece, heralding the high-speed European summer of WRC in Estonia and Finland.

Estonia rejoins the European Rally Championship calendar after a one-year break, and it follows the WRC’s successful transition of events between the ERC and WRC, including Rally Islas Canarias, Rally Poland and Rally Latvia.

In northern Europe, the WRC moves halfway across the globe for its Paraguay debut at the end of August, followed two weeks later by Rally Chile Bio Bio. The rally-mad nation, which has expanded its global rally presence in recent years with drivers in the WRC Support Category, will test its drivers on the red gravel roads that run parallel to the stunningly beautiful Paraná River.

The Central European Rally, which has been on the calendar for three consecutive seasons, will see drivers compete on changing asphalt surfaces in Austria, the Czech Republic and Germany, with autumnal European weather adding to the unique experience.

After finishing in Europe, the team will return to Japan in November for the final tarmac test of the year before wrapping up the WRC season with a debut in Saudi Arabia, where each of the three days will feature unique terrain.

FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem said:: “It’s fantastic to see so many events on the calendar for the 2025 WRC season. Alongside the classic venues fans know and love, the introduction of new rallies in Spain, Paraguay and Saudi Arabia adds even more excitement and reflects the global diversity of both competitors and rally fans.”

“This is a hugely exciting schedule that blends perfectly with our traditional rallying and three exciting new challenges, two of which are outside of Europe, once again highlighting the global appeal of our championship.” WRC Promoter Managing Director Jona Siebel said..

He continued: “From the ice of the French Alps, to the knee-deep snow of Sweden, to the blinding dust of Kenya and Sardinia, to the high-speed gravel roller coasters of Finland and Estonia, and finally to the deserts of Saudi Arabia – the diversity we will offer in 2025 is unrivalled.”
