Arman’s Surprise Proposal
The episode begins with Avira admitting that she was foolish for breaking the bench that Armand had lovingly written her name on. Armand shows up with a new nameplate, making her laugh. He says, “You came to me as a responsibility, then you became my need, and now you are my life. With you, I have everything. Will you be my wife? Will you marry me?” She hugs him and replies, “Did you just think of this? I thought my proposal was fine, but you outdid me.”
He replies, “Stop keeping score of our proposal and answer.” She teases, “Like you don’t know my answer. Yes.” He clarifies, “I mean, will you marry me tomorrow without the consent and blessing of the elders?” She drops the name plate and says, “I know I want to marry you, but…” He cuts her off and says, “Just say yes or no.” She says, “Yes.”
Secret Wedding Plans
He puts a name plate on a bench and announces, “We will get married tomorrow and have our own house.” She asks, “Are we going to live away from our family?” He replies, “You said you love me. Then trust my decision.” She tries to explain, but he insists, “Dadi will never accept you. I can’t imagine you being insulted. I love you.” She says, “I love you more. I am trying to understand. We have to take these steps.” Ruhi overhears them.
Armaan says, “I will wait for you tomorrow at the Radha Krishna temple.” Ruhi returns home and declares, “I will tell Dadisa everything.” Manisha stops her. Ruhi insists, “I have to talk to Dadisa.” Manisha asks, “Is it important?” Ruhi replies, “I cannot tell you, it is a secret.” Manisha says, “I am sleepy. Mumisa had a headache. She took medicine and slept. Don’t disturb her. Behave properly and talk to her in the morning.” Ruhi leaves.
Preparation and Doubt
Armaan packs his bags. Avira calls him. He says, “I know what you want to talk about. I won’t change my mind.” She calls back and says, “I know you are my family and I am your family, but I can’t forget your family.” The box falls. She finds the key ring, takes a picture of it, sends it to him, and texts him, “I want love and family.” He replies, “Family may not be your destiny. We will create a new family.” He calls the agent and says, “Have you found a house? Send me details and pictures.
My wife and I are moving tomorrow.” Vidya approaches Abira with the dress and says, “This is for you.” Abira wonders if Vidya knows about Armaan’s plans. Vidya continues, “Today is a special day for you and Armaan. It’s your first Teej. Is there anything else?” Abira says, “No, it’s just Teej.” Vidya says, “Fast and pray for him.” Abira asks, “Will Dadi agree?” Vidya leaves. Abira thinks, “I failed to convince Dadi. Is Armaan right?”
Morning Rituals and Hidden Plans
Armaan writes her name next to his and says, “I am ready to spend my life with you.” Abira thinks, “I am ready to wait for Dadi’s consent.” Ruhi arrives and argues with her. Abira asks her to leave and help someone else. Ruhi leaves. The next morning, Rohi wakes up and asks Ruhi, “Are you applying chuna (lime)?” Ruhi replies, “Yes, the mehendi color is getting darker.” He asks, “Do you want to strengthen our relationship?” She says, “I am at your house, applying your name mehendi and keeping a fast for you. Need I say more?” He smiles and leaves. She thinks, “I have to talk to Dadi.”
An unexpected revelation
Manish and Surekha reached Podar’s house. He looked annoyed. Ruhi and everyone welcomed them. A man came and said, “I want to meet Armaan and give him this key.” Ruhi said, “I will give it to him.” He explained, “It is for his new house. He said he is getting married today and moving there.” She replied, “I will give it to him, thank you.” She thought, “Armaan and you are getting married and leaving this house? No, I can’t let this happen. I have to talk to Dadi.”
