President Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited the army at the forefront of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine.
In a video shared on social media on Saturday, Zelensky seems to be awarded a medal to soldiers and briefing at the headquarters.
Zelenskyy later visited the Kharkiv region and held a meeting with another unit visit and a military leader.
Folk Lobesk has been the target of Russian attacks since mid -2024.
Immediately after the information on Zelensky’s visit was published, at least three civilians died in Pokrovsk.
Others were injured, and VADYM Filashkin’s local governor wrote in Telegram. According to the prosecution office, the bombardment was held early in the afternoon and hit the residential area.
The complete capture of Donetsk is one of Russia’s major military goals in the fourth year.
In September 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the merger of the Russian army partially controlled the area but in the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kesson and Zaporizhya. Russia previously merged cream in 2014.
Putin recently warned that Moscow could claim additional Ukrainian territory in a recent meeting with business leaders.
It is not clear whether Zelensky has visited the east. This trip was ahead of Monday’s armistice in Saudi Arabia. US negotiators will meet with Ukraine and Russian delegations.
